UBSDA is the parent club for Belgian Shepherd Dogs affiliated with the United Kennel Club (UKC). The founders of the UBSDA embraced the UKC’s decision to register the BSD as one breed with four varieties here in the United States as they are considered world-wide.

OUR PURPOSE

To promote the Belgian Shepherd Dog (BSD) as one breed with four distinct varieties: Groenendael, Laekenois, Malinois and Tervueren–as recognized by the registering body, the United Kennel Club

To promote a thorough understanding of the BSD through education and open sharing of information.

To advance and preserve the working characteristics of the BSD.

To conduct UKC sanctioned and licensed events.

Promoting the responsible ownership and breeding of Belgian Shepherd Dogs through owner, breeder and judge education, competition, and community-building
